The Secretariat for Women is an administrative body of the Government of the City of Puebla, Mexico, responsible for promoting gender equality and women's empowerment. Its work focuses on coordinating policies, programs, and actions aimed at preventing and eradicating gender-based violence, as well as promoting equality in all areas of social life. As the body responsible for guaranteeing the human rights of women, girls, and adolescents in the municipality, the Secretariat promotes their physical, economic, and political autonomy. It is also responsible for mainstreaming the gender perspective in municipal public administration, in line with the Municipal Development Plan, the National and State Development Plans, and the international commitments made by the Mexican State within the framework of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
