Activities carried out in relation to the care agenda
The Official College of Social Work of Seville has been developing various actions related to care, both from a professional practice perspective and from a strategic reflection on the role of social work in support and welfare systems. These actions include active participation in forums for analysis and awareness-raising on care as a transformative force—such as the recent “Care Pavilion”—as well as the promotion of training and refresher activities that integrate the perspectives of care, shared responsibility, equality, and attention to people in situations of dependency. The Association also promotes the production and dissemination of professional knowledge related to social services, social protection, and community intervention, areas closely linked to the social organization of care. In addition, the association has a growing interest in strengthening initiatives that highlight the value of care work (both paid and unpaid), supporting professionals who perform key tasks in the provision of care, and contributing to the improvement of public care systems, especially at the local and regional levels. The Association is open to expanding its participation in advocacy, communication, and technical cooperation actions that promote fairer, more sustainable, and people-centered care models.
