From the moment we wake up until we go to bed, we carry out many essential tasks for ourselves and our families. From preparing meals and washing dishes to coordinating schedules, taking children or older adults to medical appointments, and much more. If no one carried out these tasks at home, what would happen?

Our love, commitment, and daily effort are the thread that connects all these activities we need to sustain our lives and those of our loved ones. All these activities are called care work. And, as with our jobs, even if we love doing them, we cannot choose not to do them—because life depends on them. Yet, do we usually recognise them as such?
