Women, in all our diversity, have actively participated in the history of Latin America from its beginnings to the present day, when we are taking on an increasingly prominent role. However, in order to construct the history of women in the region, we must incorporate the ethnic variable, since the social matrix has been determined by indigenous and Black ethnic groups, in addition to the white population and its respective mestizo descendants.
