National Pedagogical University (UPN)

UPN is a public, decentralized institution of higher education (IHE) committed to training professionals in the fields of pedagogy, educational psychology, indigenous education, educational administration, sociology of education, French language instruction, and technological innovation, which generates knowledge and fosters social engagement across various sectors.
As part of this commitment, the UPN has promoted initiatives aimed at identifying and addressing the care needs of the university community. Among these, two significant initiatives stand out. The first consisted of a self-administered questionnaire for administrative staff, faculty, and students responsible for childcare, with the goal of exploring the feasibility of providing adequate spaces for children at the UPN campuses in Mexico City. The second was the Participatory Assessment of Key Groups and Populations for Equality at UPN, which incorporated the voices of Indigenous peoples, Afro-Mexican communities, women, the LGBTIQ+ community, people with disabilities, neurodivergent individuals, older adults, caregivers of infants and children, and people with chronic illnesses.
