Mercociudades is a network founded in 1995, inspired by a different kind of regional integration—one that respects diversity and is dedicated to building a participatory, borderless citizenry. Thirty years later, we are one of the most important networks of local governments in Latin America and a leading reference in regional integration processes. We have 414 member cities from 12 Latin American countries. Our mission is to strengthen regional identity and integration to ensure the development of cities and well-being in South America.
Our vision: integrated, inclusive, and participatory cities
